Custom Apocalypse Mission Idea...
So a friend of mine and I were batting around custom 40k missions and came up with a cooperative zombie apocalypse type mission. It was getting awesome so I decided to draft up a version. It's pretty zany but has great potential IMHO. Feel free to add any comments here or give it a spin yourself.
If you happen to share it over the internet I humbly ask that you link back to this post on my blog rather than using the link above directly. Thanks!

The Hydra Strikes
Been wanting to paint a Contemptor Dreadnought from Forge World for a long time now. It's a beautiful model. It's almost done(finished pictures of the Riptide are coming soon too, ha)

Soul Grinder update

Bipedal Soul Grinder of Chaos
Here's my kit-bashed, converted Soul Grinder of Khorne! I wanted something more ferocious than the standard Soul Grinder. I'll be deep striking him in my "Cry Havoc and let slip the dogs of war." list(if you visit 1d4chan you might have seen me post it at the bottom of Daemons 6th Ed Tactics) so he won't even be using cover.
The first few pictures are pre-leg muscles and the green stuff is just for attaching the legs. Those muscles came out the best but I covered them up with metal plates after because I liked the look better. Oh well.
Also, being color-blind I can't tell if the green stuff is really visible. It looks grey to me. (I paint using color theory more than my own eyes) The left arm where it connects to the body, the back left shoulder blade area, the neck joint, the hips and upper thigh and loincloth are all green stuff.
I primed and started painting him today, more updates to come!

Primarch Corvus Corax and Thunderhammer Shadow Captain
A model that was "eerily" *cough* similar, a little converting here, some "battle-scarring" and we have ourselves a Primarch worth of the Raven Guard. Well, he's Shrike until Coraxs' rules come out.
And the Shadow Captain

Raven Guard Firs Company Strike Team WIP
Through the mud and rain stalk silent hunters. The deadliest the
Imperium has to offer. War-torn but relentless as they pursue their
quarry amongst the ruins.
I was inspired by the new FW Heresy painted mini's line to paint my first company strike team tattered and roughed up, but far from beaten.
They are almost done, forgive
the harsh light, all I have is a spider lamp. Still have some transfers
and custom heraldry to add and finish up the bases.
