The Blades-Errant

Banner Name: The Seeking Blades
Seneschal: Cerastus Knight Atrapos “Dáinsleif”
Preceptor: Questoris Knight Warden. “Lux
Scion: Questoris Knight Paladin, “Terminus
Scion Arbalester: Questoris Knight Crusader-Obliterator. “Dawnspear
Scion Implacable: Cerastus Knight Acheron, “Rust
Sword-Hounds: Knight Armiger Warglaives “Gáe Buidhe” and “Gáe Dearg”
Knight House: “The Blades-Errant
Owner: Samuel “Nusquam”
Location: Vermont, USA
Comments:A band of Legendary Freeblades that were formed under Malcador the Sigilite in the same manner as the Knights-Errant; These questing blades seek other freeblades in an effort to unite them under the banner of the Emperor or slay those who have turned to Horus. Their names lost to time, only legends of their knight armors striking out in the defense of mankind linger in the far reaches of the galaxy where hope has no home.

Knights are my favorite part of Warhammer lore and their kits are fun to paint and customize. As shown with my Crusader and plastic Cerastus conversion. I'll be adding more Armigers and a Castellan upon their individual release.

Thousand Sun test scheme

Just applied the first pass of tamiya clear red.

I may try testing painting silver glyphs in between layers of the tamiya paint on spare bits to see what happens...

Plastic Cerastus Knight Acheron Conversion

I wasn't happy with how the Lancers Lance was looking. So I made a flame cannon just to see how it would look. Much better in my opinion, so Acheron it is now.

The Heavy in Heavy Support Squad

His arms are just tacked on for now while his back greenstuff cures.

Or considering my army comp some melee vets would do better...

Conquest Campaign Draft v0.3

Conquest Campaign Draft v0.3

Summary

Battles in the Age of Darkness Rules and Force Chart.

In the case that someone uses a 40k codex, they may gain the rules/bonuses for their faction specific strike force or “decurion”-style detachment to use as a substitute Rite of War; while still using the FOC from the Age of Darkness expansion.

4-6 Reserve Points for a total of 8-12 games.

One Custom Campaign Character per player. The first free advancement roll upon creation may be chosen. Alternatively, instead of advancing throughout the campaign roll 6d6: The first two d6 are for characteristics, the third is for an advancement table, and the last 3(rerolling duplicates) are on an applicable warlord table where you then choose form the three results. The restriction for Unique characters being required to be Campaign Characters in order to be taken is not in effect. For Maximum Characteristics, 40k factions use whichever stat-line is most similar to their factions(IE Imperial Guard use Solar Auxilia).

Loyalist vs Traitors. Teams do not have to be even. Defenders to not automatically gain the related Strategic Trait as they have only just arrived in time to mass a defense or ambush.

One relic per player.

Optional Rules:
  • When attacking a strategic point on the planet's surface when the attacker controls a spaceport, the attackers may elect to fight a Planet Strike mission instead of the normal mission type.
  • Any mission may be substituted with a core AoD mission

End-game: Once both sides reserve points are expended then there is one final Apocalypse battle. In the case of a draw this is the deciding factor.

Notes: Certain Campaign Level Warlord Traits can modify/add to things like Warzone Traits and other options.
When attacking along a red line from a friendly controlled Strategic Point, attackers gain +1 to determine who gets first turn/deploys first.

Vigilator/ Moritat

Just waiting on the Dark Fury jump packs coming in the mail.

Going to be my Vigilator in modified MKVI Advanced Recon Armor(recon armor) to give my Dark Furies Scout, Stealth, and Move Through Cover on top of their Infiltrate and Shrouded from the Recon Company RoW.

I'm fluffing this venerable beakies RT era armor as modified MKVI that has less plating(4+) to allow more advanced environmental sensor suites that networks with his units power armor computers(Move Through Cover).

He could also make for a great Moritat...

Whispercutter WIP #2

Thinking about simplifying the precision infiltration rule to 1d6 scatter and giving it something like "Twin Linked Stalker Cannon". Shoots silent shells to take out guards and equipment at range.

Maybe 36" S5 or 6 AP4 Heavy 2 Haywire Twinlinked. Or a special rule that grants it haywire against AV12 or less. Maybe only against demo objectives?

Anyway here's wonderwa-I mean some pics.

Whispercutter Kitbash WIP

SO I found an unused Taurox on a sprue in my bitz collection and decided to start my own Whispercuter. The idea is that the back most panel is a ramp, that also has a fast rope cable as well.
